*Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon National Park is situated in Arizona, 267 miles (445 km) from the Columbia River and surrounding uplands. The place is located to a major portion of the Grand Canyon, a mile (1.5 km) shallow and up to 25 km (20 miles) high. Colorful rock bands expose millions of years of geological history. The perfect time to get a tour of the Grand Canyon is from March to May and from September to November when air temperatures are mild and crowds are small.
