Mesenchymal stems have captured the attention in regenerative medicines over few decades. According to recent studies, there is no link between the MSC exosome’s clinical trials’ pleiotropic effects and differentiation ability. Instead, the secretion of soluble paracrine factors is mediated. Exosomes, nanoscale extracellular vesicles, are a kind of paracrine mediator. Exosomes move functional cargoes like miRNA and mRNA molecules, peptides, proteins, and lipids from MSCs. Exosomes are responsible for intercellular communication and contribute to the healing of injured tissues. According to the studies, they are also responsible for the therapeutic effect of MSCs in various experimental models. MSCs derived exosomes provides more firm and decreased safety risks regarding the administration of live cells. Due to their immunomodulatory abilities, MSCs are used as a cellular therapy for treating numerous human diseases. According to the MSC exosome’s clinical trials, it is the production of the extracellular vesicles that contains protein, amino acid, and lipid that transmits signals to recipient cells. MSCs contribute to all the skin healing stages by playing an active and beneficial role in animals and humans. MSCs is a novel therapy for wound healing and regeneration, gaining momentum in the past few years.

MSCs in wound healing and cutaneous regeneration

Cutaneous wound healing is arranged physiological process that repairs the coherence of the skin following injuries. It includes the interplay between the numerous cells and is generally classified into three overlapping phases: inflammation, proliferation, and maturation. Several MSCs are deemed to consume in this process, like endogenous MSCs, consisting of Derma Papilla cells and the dermal sheath cells. In trauma cases such as deep burns and chronic ulcers, there are not enough endogenous cutaneous MSCs to consume in wound self-repair because of missing dermal tissues. MSCs exosomes clinical trials were reported to exert a beneficial impact on both wound healing and scarring. Since MSCs offer a broad differentiation ability, they are captivated treatment options in regenerative medicine over the past decades. They have rapidly increased as a cell therapeutic tool for advanced wound healing.
