All the alternatives to the headphone jack are a mess:

Bluetooth - even if it works well in most of the time, there will still be times when you can not connect or lose the connection.
Another negative on Bluetooth headphones comes from the fact that their batteries can be rewritten at any time.

USB-C headphones - can not be used when the phone is charging through the USB-C jack. USB-C headphones are more expensive and harder to find to buy.

Dongles - it's expensive, you have to take care of it and you can not charge the phone and listen to music at the same time.
