I used to commute office by my own car spending hours in traffic jam, the distance from my office to home is nearly 35 minutes but due to heavy traffic jam it takes me 3 hrs to reach home. In India going to office is a big challenge itself, sitting in traffic for hours is a totally wastage of time. I am not the only one there are many corporate people who is facing the same problem. We cannot just sit and curse the system. there are thousands of people who commute to office through their own vehicle, so here is root cause of traffic jam people like us.
One fine day I saw a post on carpooling in one of the social networking site. Carpooling also known as car sharing, ride sharing; lift sharing is the sharing of your car journey with other co passengers who are going to same destination. Carpooling reduces your travelling cost such as fuel cost, tolls, driving stress, traffic congestion, carbon emissions. By doing carpooling parking space problem also gets solved.
Share total travel expenses between all the commuters

• Find the rides by entering the pickup location, drop off location, date, price range and time range.
• List of folks who have offered the rides will be displayed along with their personal and car details.
• User details like Name, Email Address, mobile number, Luggage size, Number of passengers allowed.
• Car details like car maker, car model, car registration, car color, AC/Non AC, music, smoking/non smoking, eatables allowed or not.
• After finding your perfect ride contact car owner either through call, message or email to book your seat with them.
• Next step is to fix face to face meeting in a public place and carry out your shared car journey as planned.

Suppose five persons going to same destination from same place using five different vehicles if they will share one car it will create the minimal impact but just imagine if large number of people starts carpooling in their daily life, what huge impact it can create.
