For Trojan virus removal, Trojan. ADH.2 is a specific detection used by Norton Antivirus, Norton Internet Security and other anti-virus products for the indication and detection of a potentially unwanted program. In simple words, by potentially unwanted application we mean a program that installs toolbars, contains adware or has other unclear objectives.

Trojan. ADH.2 is technically not a virus, but it does exhibit a plethora of malicious traits, such as browser hijacking, rootkit capabilities to hook deep into the operating system and in general just interfering with the user experience. It is also generally referred to as a PUP or Potentially Unwanted Program. The Trojan.ADH.2 infection is used to boost advertising revenue to inflate a site’s page ranking in the search engines. This gets on the computer after you have installed freeware software such as video recording, PDF creators or download-managers that had bundled into their installation this browser hijacker. The PUP is also bundled within the customer installer on many download sites.
